There is no way around it - reading is essential for learning English. Reading authentic English sources (not something written by other people learning to speak English) helps you to learn new words and to learn correct English sentence structure.
Repetition is also essential for learning English - the more times you see a word, an expression, or a particular sentence structure, the easier it is to remember!
